Welcome to the 1st Issue of "Life's Joyful Mystery"!

Greetings! My name is James Berigan. I work at Our Lady of the Fields Camp & Retreat Center in Brighton, Michigan. We are a year-round Catholic community that mainly serves youth in the Archdiocese of Detroit, the Diocese of Lansing, and the Chaldean Catholic Diocese of St. Thomas the Apostle USA.

We host Catholic-themed retreats for Confirmation classes, Kairos retreats, Catholic high school sports retreats, young adult dances, and many other options. If you are interested in what we offer, please visit our website at www.olf.camp.

Recently, we have started moving into the area of online content production. We launched a YouTube podcast called “Fruits from the Fields,” which you can watch here. We also have a music ministry called “Song of Mary”, whose videos you can see here. And now, we are producing this weekly newsletter.

The goal of this weekly email blast is to be like a “retreat in your inbox”. With a joyful tone and spiritually uplifting content, “Life’s Joyful Mystery” will celebrate the great parts about our faith. We wish to create a community of readers who look forward to opening our emails each Friday morning. The content will be wide-reaching: anything that touches the lives of Catholics in positive ways will be covered.

We feel called by God to share our mission with people of all ages in all places. The internet offers a great opportunity to do just that.
